Age-related peculiarities of the effect of chronic stress of non-radiation and radiation genesis on adrenal cortex status
- 1. Akademiya Meditsinskikh Nauk Ukrainskoj SSR, Kiev (Ukraine). Inst. Gerontologii
Description
Adrenals of the old animals were more radiosensitive at chronic x-ray irradiation at a sublethal dose than those of the adult rats. The influence of CSS on the adrenal cortex was more pronounced than chronic x-ray exposure. In contrast to chronic situational stress, x-rays caused the disturbances in the adrenal cortex it self in the old animals
