Conservation of the s and t channel nelicities in diffractive channels of the K+p→K+π+π-p reaction at 32 GeV/c

Description

The dependence of the s- and t-channel helicity conservation in the processes of the pπ+π- and K+π+π- system diffraction production in the K+p→K+π+π-p reaction at 32 GeV/c on the effective mass of the diffractive system and the squared transfered four momentum is studied. The systematic comparison with the data obtained at 8.2 and 16 GeV/s is carried out. It is found that for the diffractive systems with small effective masses and absolute values of the high conservation degree for both s- and t-channel helicities is observed in the experiments at 32 GeV/c. The analysis of the data shows the variation of the s - and t-channel helicity conservation degree in the momentum range of 8.2-32 GeV/c. The dependence of the differential cross section gradient dσ/dt for the diffractive systems in the K+p→K+π+π-p reaction at 32 GeV/c on the effective mass is studied
