Study of static stress relaxation in Cr-Ni steel specimens under cyclic loading

Description
A multifactor experiment on stress relaxation in Cr-Ni steel specimens under static and asymmetric cyclic loading of 35 Hz and 10 kHz frequency is described. An application of the experimental design method permits obtaining mathematical models describing stress reduction and plastic strain accumulation during the experiment as dependent on maximal stress, frequency, cyclic loading amplitude and temperature. Some practical recommendations are given as to application of the achieved results for decrease of residual stresses by technological methods, particularly, through vibration
