Current diffusion into superconducting composite with smearing volt-ampere characteristic

Description
Results of numerical and analytical calculations of the current input into a superconducting composite wire of circular with homogenized in section properties are presented. Combined existence of thermal and electromagnetic processes is accounted for. Calculations for different current input rates, parameters of volt-ampere characteristics and heat transfer coefficients show the availability of the limiting current value, less of which a wire is in a superconducting state after stopping current input and more of which the wire turns into a normal state
