Local heat-transfer characteristics of liquid sodium across a single cylinder
Description
An analytical treatment is presented to clarify the heat transfer characteristics of liquid sodium uniformly flowing across a single cylinder. Since flow separation and wake affect heat transfer considerably, the present analysis is conducted on the assumption of the inviscid flow field with a stagnant wake. Although the treatments are very simpler in comparison to viscous flow field, the present analysis produces a good agreement with the experimental data and the numerical results reported previously.
