Use of ammonium di-(2-ethylhexyl)di-thiophosphate for extraction of alkaline earth elements during determination of Li, Rb, Cs in brines
Description
The extraction of alkaline-earth elements (Ca, Sr) and alkali elements (Li, Rb, Cs) by ammonium di-(2-ethylhexyl)dithiophosphate (NH4R) and tributylphosphate (TBI) has been studied. It is shown that at pH>5 the maximum extraction of alkaline-earth elements is achieved and the extractant behaves as monovalent cation. TBP additions increase the extractant capacity as regards Me2+, and alkali metals remain in the initial solution. Extraction atom-absorptional method of Rb and Cs determination in CaCl2 solution with general salt background of 400 g/l and Rb and Cs content of ∼ (0.5-3)x10-3 g/l with relative standard deviation less than 0.07 has been developed. 2 refs.; 1 fig.; 2 tabs
