Description

Waste packages for TRU-disposal have been developed from the 1999 fiscal year commissioned by Radioactive Waste Management Funding and Research Center, and the outline of the development result from the 1999 fiscal year to the 2004 fiscal year is shown. As for this concrete container type waste package, priority is given to economical efficiency, engineering feasibility and practicality. In this paper, the design concepts of this concrete container type waste package and highly air permeable filling material are shown. And the results of functional tests are shown. (author)
