Description
The report on research into fisheries and the marine environment, 1987-88, includes a review of the discharge authorisations for liquid radioactive waste disposal, a section on radiation monitoring of the aquatic environment, analyses of radionuclides present in edible winkles and eels, the monitoring of public exposure from Sellafield discharges and a study of the radiation doses to man from the natural radioactivity present in seafood. The effects of fallout on marine and freshwater environments after Chernobyl were also studied. (author)
