Comparison study of dose effect curves of micronuclei between conventional and cytokines-block method

Description
The relationship between the radiation dose and the number of micronuclei in human lymphocytes induced by 6 MV X-rays generated from a medical linear accelerator in vitro was studied by conventional assay method of micronuclei and cytokines-block (CB) method simultaneously. Within a given dosage (0-5 Gy), a good relationship and corresponding regression equations were obtained between the dose and the effect. The CB method was more accurate and time saving than the conventional one, and sufficient bi-nucleated CB cells could be still obtained even if the dose was up to 8 Gy, making it possible the evaluation of whole body dose in wide dose range
