The environment as a determinant of children's environmental health: an emerging concern

The lecture will highlight the studies being conducted by the Department of Health and the National Poison Control and Information Service on the neurotoxicant of mercury and lead are harmful to children health and another study is the assessment of environmental health impact of mercury among children living near a gold processing plant because of the odor and noise that the processing operation creates and it was observed that the children suffered problems such as rapid fatigue, stomachache, pallor and malnutrition
