Data-handling systems for use in dynamic function studies
Description
Computer data-handling systems have been developed for collection, analysis and display of information from nuclear medicine sensors, and good commercially produced systems are now available. These include hard-wired dedicated systems and general-purpose computers. Two types of displays are provided - monitors and hard copy generation. Good hard copy production devices are part of standard systems, but improved monitor-type displays are needed for dynamic studies. A brief discussion of the factors that must be considered in choosing a system for use in nuclear medicine is presented, along with some of the analysis problems that need to be solved. (author)
