Two reactor accidents
Description
Two accidents in nuclear power plants which have drawn most attention of the public are the accident with unit II of the Three Mile Island (TMI) power plant near Harrisburg in the United States, March 28th 1979, and the one with the reactor in Chernobylsk near Kiev in the Sovjet-Union in April 28th 1986. In this contribution a comparison is made of both accidents preceded by some reactor physics. 4 refs.; 6 figs.; 2 tabs
