Measurement of the differential cross section of the reactions γ+p → π++n and γ+p → π0+p at a laboratory angle of 45 degrees in the gamma enery range from 0.8 GeV to 2.0 GeV as well as parametrization of the c.m. angular distributions by Legendre polynomial expansion
Description
After closure of the optimization work of the magnetic spectrometer 'Porthos' in the framework of this thesis it was begun with the data acquisition and evaluation for the determination of the differential cross sections for the reactions γ+p → π++n as well as γ+p → π0+p. The measurements were performed at a laboratory angle of 45 degrees relative to the direction of the incident photon beam whereby the latter reaction was measured simultaneously to the π+ production because of the kinematics by detection of the recoil proton. The gamma energy range in the laboratory system extended for the π+ reaction between 790 MeV and 2010 MeV in the c.m. angle interval from 69.2 degrees to 87.6 degrees. The measurements for the π0 photoproduction comprehended the laboratory energy range from 810 MeV to 2010 MeV for center-of-mass angles between 81.7 degrees and 72.1 degrees. (orig./HSI)

Nach Abschluss der Optimierungsarbeiten des Magnetspektrometers 'Porthos' wurde im Rahmen dieser Arbeit mit der Datenaufnahme und -auswertung zur Bestimmung der differentiellen Wirkungsquerschnitte fuer die Reaktionen γ+p → π++n sowie γ+p → π0+p begonnen. Die Messungen erfolgten bei Laborwinkel von 45 Grad bezueglich der Richtung des einfallenden Photonenstrahls, wobei letztere Reaktion auf Grund der Kinematik durch Nachweis des Rueckstossprotons gleichzeitig zur π+-Produktion mitgemessen wurde. Der Gammaenergiebereich im Laborsystem erstreckt sich fuer die π+-Reaktion zwischen 790 MeV und 2010 MeV im CM-Winkelintervall von 69.2 Grad bis 87.6 Grad. Die Messungen zur π0-Photoproduktion erfassen den Labor-Energiebereich 810 MeV bis 2020 MeV fuer Schwerpunktswinkel zwischen 81.7 Grad und 72.1 Grad. (orig./HSI)
