Scaling and domain growth in a model-C system

  • 1. Department of Physics, Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19122

Description

Some aspects of domain growth and associated dynamical scaling behavior in a quenched tricritical system are studied by a detailed numerical simulation of a version of model C. We found that dynamical scaling is obeyed for both conserved and nonconserved variables. The domain-growth law in the interconnected regime as well as in the droplet regime is consistent with the modified Lifshitz-Slyozov law for both the conserved and the nonconserved variables, in agreement with earlier theoretical predictions
