Magnetic behaviour of the one-dimensional 'mixed' state in type-I superconductors
Description
The magnetic behaviour of the one-dimensional 'mixed' state that appears near the sample axis of a superconducting wire carrying a current has been studied on the basis of the linear, time-dependent Ginzburg-Landau equations. The second critical current that characterizes the transition to the normal state in the presence of a longitudinal magnetic field has been evaluated. The resistance and the magnetic response have been calculated for the transition region. (author)
