Description

Investigated is niobium and tantalum sorption under dynamical conditions from fluorine-containing solutions of iron hydroxide granulated by the freezing method. The effect of pH, NH4F concentration and the metal is shown. It is stated on the basis of the data on sorption, chemical analysis and IR-spectroscopy, that sorption takes place by anion exchange mechanism with the succeeding ion complicating and formation of insoluble compounds in the ionite phase. Stated and proved by special experiments is a possibility of iron hydroxide application for separation of niobium and tantalum close by properties, for purification of niobium-containing solutions from tantalum impurity
