Antinucleon-nucleon potential
- 1. Institute for Theoretical Physics, University of Nijmegen, Nijmegen, The Netherlands
Description
A coupled-channels model for antinucleon-nucleon (N-barN) scattering is presented. The N-barN channels are coupled to effective two-particle annihilation channels. The neutron-proton mass difference and the Coulomb interaction are taken exactly into account. This model gives a detailed fit to a set of 977 N-barN scattering data up to T/sub lab/ = 482 MeV, with an overall chi2/data = 1.39. The potentials are found to be long-ranged. A discussion of several experimental data sets and of the influence of the Coulomb interaction is given
