Study of point defects by channeling measurements of solute atom displacements

Description

Channeling measurements have been used to study the trapping of self-interstitials by solute atoms accompanying with formation of mixed dumbbels in various metals with face-centered cubic and hexagonal close packed crystal structures. The information about defect mobility, trapping radius, trapping configuration, thermal stability and annihilation mechanism has been obtained
