Understanding the BAPETEN Chairman Decree (CD) No. 572/K/X/2013 on service level arrangement of radioactive transport agreement

CD No. 572/K/X/2013 is a policy to operationalize GR No. 26 Year 2002 on Safe Transport of Radioactive Material. The CD is intended to implement service improvement related licensing agreements transporting radioactive materials specified in annex 3 and classified into 3 activities, including: (1) Approval of Implementation Transportation of Radioactive Materials in the Context of Export, Import or Re-export; (2) Approval of the Implementation of Transportation of Radioactive Materials in Industrial Radiography or Well Logging activities; and (3) Approval of Radioactive Materials Transportation Execution in the Other Activity (Transactional/Single Location). Each attachment contains the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Level Services Arrangements (LSA) are made the same for each group activity. To expedite service, the service has also be applicable Application for Approval of Freight Export and Import Online. It was concluded that each SOP and LSA circuit so long permit process to be inefficient and ineffective, especially for the transport of radioactive material approval activities in order to import. The application of this CD is dedicated to operationalize the transport of mobile source (portable and mobile industrial radiography, well logging and portable gauging). (author)
