The (p, 2p) reaction based on the relativistic impulse approximation
Description
Cross sections and analyzing powers are calculated for the 40Ca(p vector, 2p vector)39K reaction at proton incident energy of 300 MeV. The t-matrix elements are given by the effective nucleon-nucleon amplitudes of Love-Franey. The optical potentials for distorted waves are calculated by relativistic impulse approximation (RIA). Our calculations are somewhat in poor agreement with experimental data and finally the cause of this discrepancy is discussed. (author)
