Analysis of ion solitons in a plasma without magnetic field

Description
One of the simple analytical methods for the investigation into one-dimensional soliton solutions in collisionless two temperature plasma with the Boltzman electron distribution not using an assuption on a small variation of the ion concentration in plasma as compared with its nondisturbed value is stated. The method gives a particular restriction in the Mach number of solitons. The soliton solutions considered are close to the corresponding solutions of the Korteweg - de Vries equation in the case of small variations of plasma parameters as compared with their nondisturbed values. The method developed can be also used when considering the effects of the soliton interaction with resonance particles
