On (double) relaxation oscillation SQUIDs
- 1. Technische Univ. Twente, Enschede (Netherlands). Dept. of Applied Physics
Description
A Relaxation Oscillation SQUID (ROS) can either be used as a flux-to-voltage or as a flux-to-frequency convertor. A Double Relaxation Oscillation SQUID (DROS) is a flux-to-voltage convertor with a very high transfer coefficient δV/δφ, which is typically one or two orders of magnitude larger than in present dc SQUIDs based on non-hysteretic, shunted tunnel junctions. Both theoretical and experimental characteristics of ROSs and DROSs will be discussed. (orig.)
