Study on multiplicity of secondary charged particles in π-12C interactions at 40 GeV/c

Description

The distributions of π-12C interactions are presented as a function of the number of secondary charged partices. Multiplicity scaling for different colliding particles in wide energy range is observed. The events with the total charge of all charged particles (except protons with psub(lab) (<=) or approximately 0.7 GeV/c) Q=-2, -1, 0 +1, +2, +3, +4 are studied. Mean value of multiplicity distribution of pion minus, positive particles and slow protons for interactions with different value of full charge are presented. Average number of pion minus depends feebly on the full charge value
