Leader change in experimental physics of elementary particles

Comparative analysis of investigation results in the field of experimental physics of elementary particles in two regions - USA and Western Europe - is given. Gradual increase in the role of Western Europe, its leading position and the second place of the USA are underlined. Prospects of accelerator development in both regions are considered
