Description
We have studied the various properties of UPt2Ge2, a compound in the UT2Ge2-series. The existence of this compound was previously reported, but its electronic and magnetic properties were unknown. From our magnetization, resistivity and specific-heat measurements, we characterize this material as an antiferromagnet with a Neel temperature of TN = (72±2) K. (orig.)
