Intrasphere redox transformations in platinum complexes: a model of single-electron process and consequences from the model

Description

Consideration is given to single-electron oxidation of plane-square Pt(2) compounds to octahedral Pt(3) complexes, and to consequences from the model. Phenomenon of trans-elimination of ligands from Pt(2) complexes under their oxidation by cerium in particular is explained. A series of trans-effect for Pt(3) compounds, based on the value of potentials of single-electron ligand oxidation was obtained
