Hydrolytic modification of Zr(SO4)2·4H2O in the system Zr(SO4)2-H2O (vapor)
Description
Hydrolytic modification of zirconium disulfate tetrahydrate is isolated at Zr(SO4)2x4H2O hydration in Zr(SO4)2-H2O (vapor) system from supersaturated viscous solutions. Difference in properties of the initial and hydrolytic specimens of zirconium sulfate is stated by the results of isothermal heating and pH measurement of aqueous solutions. Similar differences in properties are found for hafnium sulfates. Formation of a spatial structure of Zr(SO4)2x4H2O polymer under the conditions of synthesis is assumed
