Description
The magnetization and magnetic susceptibility have been measured on the PrRu2Si2 single crystal compound. The compound is a ferromagnet with a Curie temperature of 14 K and saturation moment of 2.7μB/f.u. A giant magnetic anisotropy with easy magnetization axis c was found: the uniaxial anisotropy constant is K1=5.9x108 erg/cm3, corresponding to an anisotropy field Ha=400 T. (orig.)
