The design of 2 kV/2 A DC power supply system for ion source cathode of 13 MeV cyclotron

Description

The design of 2 kV/10 A DC power supply system for ion source cathode of 13 MeV cyclotron, has been done. The goal of design was to obtained parameters of this power supply system. The designed power supply use main components consist of BY399 diodes and 400 V/100 μF capacitors. From the calculation result, it is obtained transformer with specification: Vp = 220 V, Vs = 1000 V, Ip = 23 A, Is = 4 A, dp = 12 x 1 mm, ds = 2 x 1 mm, Np = 77 turns, Ns = 385 turns and mn = 58,5 kg. The total of diodes and capacitors respectively are 20 and 240 pieces. (author)
