Dimensional counting and a generalization of the Landshoff mechanism in multihadron reactions at large transverse momentum

Description
A generalization of two-two scattering at large transverse momentum is considered within the framework of the parton model used by Landshoff to demonstrate violation of dimensional-counting predictions. This leads to the conclusion that the violation occurs only in two-two scattering because there the number of external particles equals the number of space-time dimensions
