The report presents detailed comparative operating, maintenance, and fuel costs by FERC accounts for 600 US steam electric plants over a five-year period. Plants must have operated during each of the five years to be included. Data are shown separately for each year; a five-year average for each cost category is calculated for each plant. The report also includes rankings of the top 100 plants according to the calculated five-year average cost per net megawatt hour produced and total five year net generation
