The effect of carrier technetium-99 on RBC labelling
Description
The red blood (RBC) labelling technique is a rapid and sensitive method for determing the effect of substances on the sup(99m)Tc labelling efficiency. Serially diluted solutions containing carrier technetium-99 (99Tc) were used and the RBC labelling efficiencies were obtained. Reduction is the labelling efficiencies was observed at nanogram quantity of carrier technetium-99. Futher increase in the amount of carrier technetium-99 did not produce the corresponding reduction of RBC labelling efficiency. (author)
