Phase relations in the system Li2O-ZrO2
Description
Li2O/ZrO2 and Li2CO3/ZrO2 mixtures with [Li]/[Zr] ratios ranging from 1.0 to 15 were heated to temperatures of 775-1175 K. The progress of the reactions was followed by X-ray diffraction. Three lithium zirconates are stable in the temperature range investigated: Li2ZrO3, Li6Zr2O7 and Li8ZrO6. Phase transitions and melting behaviour were studied by Differential Scanning Calorimetry. A diagram is presented for the system Li2O-ZrO2. (orig.)
