Antiferromagnetic ordering in the rare earth bromide deuteride layered compound: TbBrD2
- 1. Max-Planck-Institut fuer Festkoerperforschung, Stuttgart (Germany)
- 2. Birkbeck Coll., London Univ., London (United Kingdom)
Description
The low temperature magnetic behavior of the insulating layered metal rich rare earth dideuteride bromide TbBrD2 was investigated by specific heat, susceptibility and neutron diffraction measurements. All experiments consistently prove antiferromagnetic ordering below 3.91(5) K. No indications of significant short range ordering were detected. ((orig.))
