D* production in deep inelastic scattering at Hera and F2cc-bar
Description
We present measurements of D*± production in deep inelastic scattering of 27.5 GeV positrons on 820 GeV protons. The data were taken with the ZEUS detector at HERA. The decay channel D*+ →(D0→K-π+)π+(+c.c.) was used for this study. Inclusive D*± cross sections are compared with next-to-leading order QCD calculations based on the photon-gluon fusion (PGF) production mechanism. The structure function F2cc-bar(x,Q2) is determined for Bjorken x between 2·10-4 and 5·10-3 and Q2 between 7 and 45 GeV2
