Estimation of dynamic retention and excretion of promethium-147 for rats in vivo by compartmental analysis
Description
147PmCl3 was injected intraperitoneally into Wistar rats. Radioactivities in urine and faeces were measured successively for one year. Based on excretion data and compartmental analysis, we obtained equations of excretion fraction, and deduced mathematical models of retention in skeleton and liver and some related parameters by identification of the compartmental model. Some applications of compartmental model for studying the dynamic metabolism of radionuclides are also discussed
