Low temperature irradiation effects on iron boron based amorphous metallic alloys

Description
Three Fe-B amorphous alloys (Fe80B20, Fe27Mo2B20 and Fe75B25) and the crystallized Fe3B alloy have been irradiated at the temperature of liquid hydrogen. Electron irradiation and irradiation by 10B fission fragments induce point defects in amorphous alloys. These defects are characterized by an intrinsic resistivity and a formation volume. The threshold energy for the displacement of iron atoms has also been calculated. Irradiation by 235U fission fragments induces some important structural modifications in the amorphous alloys

Trois alliages Fe-B amorphes (Fe80B20, Fe27Mo2B20 et Fe75B25) et l'alliage cristallise Fe3B ont ete irradies a la temperature de l'hydrogene liquide. L'irradiation par des electrons et par les fragments de fission de 10B induit des defauts ponctuels dans les alliages amorphes. Ces defauts sont caracterises par une resistivite intrinseque et un volume de formations. L'energie de seuil de deplacement des atomes de fer a egalement ete calculee.
