On the statistical significance of the reported phase coherence for solar oscillations

  • 1. Arizona Univ., Tucson (USA). Dept. of Physics

Description

The statistical significance of the reported phase coherence in the observed solar oscillations is estimated more clearly through the use of Monte Carlo techniques. These simulations strongly support the global normal mode interpretation of the phenomenon. (author)
