In18Sn7S34, Mr=3987.6, orthorhombic, Pbam, a=15.122(6), b=22.70(1), c=3.833(2) A, V=1316(2) A3, Z=1, Dm=5.05, Dx=5.03(2) Mg m-3, MoKα, λ=o.71069 A, μ=12.22 mm-1, F(000)=1776, T=293 K, final R=0.082 (wR=0.055) for 1015 independent reflections. In3+ have octahedral environments and Sn2+ lie inside dicapped trigonal prisms of S atoms. One of two Sn sites is incompletely occupied. In-S distances are 2.48-2.93 A. (orig.)
