Description
In 1983, at GSI in Germany, the first observation was made on positrons excited from Dirac sea by heavy ion collisions with heavy element targets. In addition, an unexpected finding was accompanied i.e., the appearance of the sharp positron peak above the wide positron bump mentioned above. On this positron peak, although there continued extensive investigations until the end of 1980's, a clear explanation couldn't be achieved. At INS, Univ. of Tokyo at Tanashi, this positron issue had been also studied mainly with an air core spectrometer. The last data at Tanashi was strongly argued whether it should be confirmed at Tsukuba where the Institute moved, after reorganization with previous KEK. The experiment team decided to pursuit the theme with a newly prepared solenoid spectrometer. This report concerns the result of this spectrometer development, and the experiment itself couldn't reach to the final goal. (author)

1983 年、独 GSI に於いて、重イオン衝突により Dirac sea から発生する陽電子ピークが初めて報告された。同時にこのピークに加えて予想外の陽電子ピークが合わせて観測された。この未知のピークは 1980 年代後半にかけて活発に研究されたが、最終的にデータに衝突エネルギー、衝突系の原子番号、等をパラメターとした系統性ないしは規則性が見えないことから確定的な結論が得られないまま今日に至っている。高エネ機構では機構発足前の東大原子核研究所以来主として空芯スペクトロメーターを用いてこの研究に取り組んできた。田無支所の最後の実験結果を実験方法を変えて再検証するため、つくばにおいてソレノイドタイプの電子・陽電子同時計数型のスペクトロメーターを整備し、それによる実験を目指したが、最終実験まで至ることができなかった。本報告ではこのスペクトロメーターの開発について報告する。 (著者)Additional details
