Electric power regulation in Italy a critical review
Description
So far the results of the electricity reform in April 1999 have fallen short of expectations, since the spaces for free market and competition are still very thin in our power system. The regulator's activity has to be appraised within these spaces. An early, though difficult and approximate, analysis indicates that there are at least two major objections to the Electric Authority's activity: the excessive pervasiveness of regulation and the long times required for its implementation

La riforma elettrica dell'aprile 1999 ha sortito sinora risultati ben lontani da quelli attesi, creando solo esigui spazi di libero mercato e di concorrenza nel nostro sistema elettrico.
