Boron determination in aluminium after autoclave dissolution by inductive-plasma atomic-emission method

  • 1. Gosudarstvennyj Nauchno-Issledovatel'skij i Proektnyj Inst. Redkometallicheskoj Promyshlennosti, Moscow (USSR)

Description

An inductive plasma atomic-emission method is developed for the determination of boron in high-pure aluminium doped with boron without macrocomponent separation with the limit of detection equal to 5·10-5 wt.%. A thermodynamic simulation is carried out and the conditions are found for autoclave sample preparation of high-pure and boron-doped aluminium using hydrochloric acid without boron loss with quantitative transfer of macro- and microcomponents of the analyzed sample into solution
