Radiation-chemical transformations and radiosensitivity of biological macromolecules

Creators

Description

Data on radiolysis of three types of biologically important molecules: phospholipids, nucleic acids and proteins and their low-molecular constituents, are considered. Phospholipids are shown to be the most radiosensitive structure units of a living cell: their decomposition yields by an order exceed those of the rest molecules. According to the given criterion of polymer radiosensitivity DNA is the most radiosensitive as the most high-molecular biopolymer
