The magnetic and crystallographic properties of the Y-Ba-Ir-O system
Creators
Description
The Curie temperatures of BaIrO3, Y0.1Ba0.9IrOy and YBa2Ir3Oy are, respectively, 180, 183 and 185 K in these thermo-magnetic curves at 8.0 kOe. These crystal structures are monoclinic, mixture of monoclinic and cubic phases and mixture of monoclinic and two cubic phases. The Curie temperature increases with decreasing lattice parameter b at the monoclinic structure. In addition, we try to slightly substitute for 57Fe and measure the Mossbauer effect. These results show that the effect of substitution with yttrium in BaIrO3 slightly increases Curie temperature
