On the initial expansion of meteor trails
Description
The asymptotic solution of the equation governing the number density n(r,t) of evaporated meteoric atoms behind a steadily moving meteor is obtained which is suitable to depict the initial expansion of a meteor trail. Some unusual results of meteor observations are elucidated. (Auth.)
