Martensitic transformation at 12X18H10T steel fatigue testing

Description
Peculiarities of martensitic γ→α' transformation processing during the fatigue tests of metastable stainless steel are studied. It is established, that increase of martensitic phase volume before testing, and specially, nonuniformity of its distribution through sample, led to degradation of fatigue durability in steel. It is shown, that fracture sets attaining some practically constant value of specific stored energy. (author)
