Status report on experiment PS172: -pp total cross section and spin effects in -pp K+K-, π+π- and -pp
Description
This chapter reports on a proposed experiment at the Low Energy Antiproton Ring (LEAR) in which -pp total cross section and spin effects in -pp (elastic) scattering is to be studied. Topics covered include small angle scattering, the polarized -p-beam, the analyzing power of carbon, and two body-reactions. The total cross section and the cross section of -pp→ neutrals will be measured
