The results of the adolescents and children-thyroid system dynamic observations in 1986-1990 in Kaluga district contaminated with radionuclids after the Chrnobyl' accident
Description
The study of the monitoring data of thyroid system in children and adolecsents of the south-western regions of the Kaluga district during the period from 1986 to 1990 has been performed (about 8500 persons). The data from the persons whose individual absorption doses in the thyroid gland from the radioactive iodine were determined, were included in the study. The doses ranged from 2 to 10 granes. The wave like changes in the functional activity of the thyroid system in children were noticed: the increase of the thyroid hormone production for the first 1.5 year after the ChNPP accident then its normalization (1988-1989) and the new stage of the hormonegenesis growth in 1990. 5 tabs
