A program complex for calculating nuclear fuel burnup and buildup of fussion products in WWER-irradiated fuel assemblies

Description
A program complex for calculating burnup, nuclear fuel breeding, and fission product concentrations of WWER-440 Kozloduj Nuclear Power Station irradiated fuel assemblies is presented. The proposed complex is based on the programs: BIPR-5K, TERHID, LEOPARD and DEFP. A more adequate simulation of reactor history and good accuracy of the core neutron physical data and parameters during the core life is achieved. The method may be experimentally checked determining the 134Cs and 137Cs concentrations. Discussions and comparisons of the experimentally determined values of the nuclear fuel burnup with the calculated ones using the program BIPR-5K and the program complex for 10 axial points of the irradiated fuel assembly 2-142 are carried out
