TL of cerium doped cesium chloride irradiated with X-rays
- 1. Bharathiar University, Coimbatore (India). Department of Physics
Description
Thermoluminescence glow curves of X-irradiated, solution grown, pure and cerium doped cesium chloride crystals were obtained in the temperature range 30oC - 250oC. The glow curve of the undoped CsCl irradiated for 5 minutes shows a single peak at 70oC, which is attributed to the thermal decay of F-centres. The glow curve of the cerium doped CsCl irradiated for the same time has a prominent peak at 67oC with a shoulder at 105oC. The 67oC peak is attributed to the thermal decay of F-centres and the 105oC shoulder is attributed to cerium centres. (author). 2 refs., 1 fig
